Biodiversity / Biosurvey

Contract: Biological Survey of a woodlot
Location: Quebec (approx. 40 minutes NE from Hull QC)

I am working with a private landowner in western Quebec (located approximately 40 minutes northeast of downtown Gatineau (Hull)), they have a regenerating woodlot with some trails. They are curious to learn more about the species present on the property, including the potential for species at risk, they would like a very high level assessment to be conducted of the land near the trails in order to learn more about the biodiversity values and also steps which could be taken to support biodiversity.

We would expect this project to require approximately two days of work, ideally a meeting with the landowners and a brief tour of the property, followed by the actual assessment to be carried out at the contractor's pace. The deliverable shall be a very brief document highlighting species encountered and a few recommendations to support biodiversity.

This position is ideal for someone who is retired or retiring soon, or for a student.

Given the short nature of the project and the client's limited budget, this may not be appropriate for a professional firm.

We would like to have this work carried out toward the end of May.

You can contact me for further information and/or to arrange a site visit. Please also detail your expected hourly rate for this type of work.

The ideal way to contact me is via email: jenniferbloom383@gmail.com

Thank you.
