VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Needed: Managing Lead, Social media, writing and outreach volunteers
Organization: LandSeed
Location: remote anywhere in Canada; or in-person if in Montréal

LandSeed is a non-profit with a vision to reshape entry-level housing for the future generation. We're dedicated to supporting first-time homebuyers, seniors, immigrants, single parents, environmentalists, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Through innovative financing, product offerings, and development, we aim to create secure, attainable, and sustainable housing solutions for diverse communities.

The available positions:

We are looking for passionate volunteers who are interested in honing their skills in authorship, content creation, and public outreach.

  • Manager Lead:
    • We are seeking a Managing Lead to help coordinate our projects and volunteers, ensuring collaboration across teams. This role involves project managin, assist in project planning and coordinating with different team members. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, adaptable, and work well in a team.
  • Writing volunteer:
    • Help create compelling stories that highlight the work of our organization, and that inform the public about the importance of affordable housing. This position is ideal for a creative and motivated individual looking to develop their writing and journalism skills while supporting a mission-driven nonprofit. Tasks include gathering researching, editing articles, proofreading posts, and drafting newsletters.
  • Outreach specialist:
    • Involve yourself in the development and retention of partnerships with community organizations, donors, and stakeholders to support our mission of increasing access to entry-level housing.The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to cultivate long-term relationships that support program growth and sustainability.
  • Social media specialist:
    • Interested in graphic design and/or in the development of videos and graphic assets? Assist our communications manager to monitor, plan, and create content for our various social media channels. Applicants must have strong time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or strong interest in community building and increasing pathways to homeownership
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
