About GoodWork

GoodWork is a much-loved hub for action and involvement in climate, nature and environment.

Our mission is to connect and inspire people with opportunities to bring about positive change.

Thousands of people have fulfilled their passions, upped their careers, found meaningful work. Countless projects and organizations have grown and achieved their goals, thanks to the connections and community GoodWork that has been building for 25 years.

Next Steps...

For 25 years, GoodWork has been led primarily by one person, GoodWork's founder, plus the capable assistance of volunteers, occasional staff and directors.

Peter is now preparing to step aside to make space for new energy and ideas.

We are seeking expressions of interest from those ready to take on the leadership of this long-standing social enterprise. 

We will consider all possibilities, partnerships, and outright transition to new leadership.

GoodWork is financially self-sustaining. For many years, it has proved itself to be resilient to economic and funding ups and downs. But it needs active, inspired leadership.

There is so much more that can be done to connect, inspire and grow environmental conservation, climate action and sustainability. If needed, Peter could stay on part-time, or in a board or advisory role.

The actual form of this transition will depend on who expresses interest. We will consider all suggestions and proposals. Some possibilities include... 

• Merging with another environmental/ climate/ sustainability organization
• Serving as a social enterprise, under the umbrella of another not-for-profit organizaion
• Staying as a separate entity, but hiring an Operations Manager and/or Editor-Moderator position
• Acquisition or investment (by an organization or individual with proven commitment to sustainability)
• Other...
