Roles: Volunteer Leadership Opportunities
Organization: Toronto Home Energy Network
Location: Toronto, Ontario
We’re looking for passionate volunteers to join our growing team. Could one of these roles be yours?

About THE Network
Toronto Home Energy Network (THE Network) is a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to reducing carbon emissions from Toronto’s homes. We collaborate with communities across the city to help homeowners electrify homes — tackling nearly one-fifth of Toronto’s total emissions. We’re growing fast, and we need passionate people to help us.
Open Volunteer Roles
We’re recruiting for several leadership positions: if any of these fit you, submit an application and see extended role descriptions and requirements at thenetwork.to/get-involved.
Community Events Lead — Do you love making events run smoothly? The Community Events Lead coordinates logistics for THE Network’s in-person gatherings — from Community Council meetings and volunteer socials to neighbourhood Heat Pump Tours. If you’re organized, reliable, and energized by bringing people together, this role is for you.
Public Outreach Lead — Are you a confident public communicator who loves mobilizing people? The Public Outreach Lead identifies tabling and community fair opportunities across Toronto, coordinates and supports training for volunteers attending events across the city, and represents THE Network to the public. Great for someone with grassroots campaign or canvassing experience.
Volunteer Coordination Lead — Do you love connecting people with purpose? The Volunteer Coordination Lead owns our volunteer onboarding experience — welcoming new volunteers, understanding their skills and interests, and matching them with the right roles. Ideal for someone with a background in volunteer management, HR, or community organizing.
Community Support Liaison - Multiple Positions — Are you a natural relationship-builder? Community Support Liaisons serve as dedicated points of contact for a small group of our established Partner Communities, holding regular check-ins, sharing resources, and providing the ongoing support communities need to run their home electrification initiatives. Ideal for someone with community organizing experience.
Graphic Designer — Want to put your design skills to work for the planet? THE Network’s Graphic Designer creates the visual assets that bring our brand to life — from homeowner guides and social media graphics to event materials. We use Canva and welcome portfolios from professional and personal projects alike.
