Hiring: Foreman - Vegetation Management (3 positions)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Foreman to oversee our tree trimming operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vegetation management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Foreman you will be responsible to:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of vegetation management crews, including mulching, slashing, and tree trimming.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Inspect work sites to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Train and mentor vegetation management personnel.
  • Develop and implement work schedules and project plans.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper usage and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with utility companies, property owners, and crew members.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site.
  • Prepare and submit reports on work progress and project outcomes.
  • Undertake professional development and training opportunities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

As the Foreman you will bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in utility vegetation management.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in forestry, arboriculture, or related field is an asset.
  • Aerial Life Operations and Fall Protection Certification is an asset.
  • Hazardous tree removal experience.
  • Strong knowledge of utility vegetation management techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent understanding of safety standards and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).

ROLE CRITERIA:

  • Clean and Valid Driver’s License.
  • Utility Tree Trimming Certification is required.
  • Chainsaw Certification is required.
  • Capable of lifting heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
