Position: Social Media Coordinator
Organization: Bee City Canada
Location: from home, anywhere in Canada

Bee City Canada, a national charitable group that is working to protect pollinators, is looking for a volunteer Social Media Coordinator.

The volunteer will:

  • Use social media to help Canadians to better understand the importance of pollinators and how we can protect them.
  • Promote the goals of Bee City Canada.


  • Creating content (research, write) for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Connecting and building relationships with other social users.
  • Editing images and developing graphics.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience with Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram, preferably with another organisation or charitable group.
  • Strong writing, research and editing skills.
  • An interest in protecting nature.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Hootsuite, Buffer or other social media management platforms (not necessary but would be an asset).
  • Photography skills (not necessary but would be an asset).

Commitment & Requirements

  • 3 – 4 hours per week for 6 months.
  • Access to a computer and personal work space.


  • Gain valuable experience in social media management, content creation, communications and potentially other areas.
  • Meet people and connect with organizations that are committed to protecting nature, sustainability.
  • Receive a letter of reference, along with our gratitude, when your commitment is completed.
