Join the Board of Bruce Botanical Food Gardens!
Role: Board Member, BBFG Board of Directors
Organization: Bruce Botanical Food Garden (BBFG)
Location: Ripley, near Lake Huron / Kincardine ON (Much of the board work can be done remotely. Please consider the position even if you are not local to Ripley, but having the ability to travel to the garden a few times a year would make the position more fulfilling as it is a wonderful community space.)
Are you passionate about food security, community food projects, organic growing techniques and making a lasting impact on local sustainability? The Bruce Botanical Food Gardens is a thriving hub where horticulture meets education, urban agriculture, and biodiversity. Our volunteers tend vibrant gardens, host workshops, and connect neighbors to fresh, locally‑grown produce.
As a board member, you will help shape the garden’s future: set strategic goals, guide fundraising, champion outreach, and ensure the garden remains an inclusive, eco‑friendly space for all. Your voice will influence programming, partnership development, and stewardship of this important community space.

The Bruce Botanical Food Garden is one of only two spaces in Canada with that designation. There is one acre full of over 250 different food plants, with room to grow in every way. We have space to physically expand and our education and food security programs also have strong growth potential with the right team.
Help us cultivate a greener community — become a board member today!
