Position: Senior Camp Coordinator
Summer Camp: Camp Fircom

Location: Gambier Island, BC

This position is for the Senior Camp Coordinator role at Camp Fircom, located on Gambier Island in the Howe Sound. Camp Fircom runs Kids Camps and Mom & Kids camps, alternating throughout the summer.

The Senior Camp Coordinator is responsible for supporting the counsellors who are working with our Senior Campers (Age 10-12). Throughout the summer, this position will report to the Camp Director and the Program Director and assist the leadership team with supporting the camp counsellors and campers. This may look like facilitating activities, supporting interpersonal challenges experienced by both the counsellors and the campers, and stepping in as a back-up counsellor when needed. Previous summer camp experience is an asset.

Overview: A short 20 minute water taxi ride from Horseshoe Bay, Camp Fircom is situated on a 120-acre waterfront property with access to ample recreational opportunities, including swimming beaches and hiking trails.

Living Arrangements: During camp sessions, accommodation is provided in a shared rustic cabin. Shared washroom facilities are available for the exclusive use of staff, and internet access is available in many community spaces throughout camp. For staff who live out of town, accomodations and food will be provided on weekends.

Start date: July 13, 2026
End Date: August 14, 2026

Wage: $151.60 per day, plus accommodation, all meals when Food Service is offered, water taxi fares, & staff t-shirt

This is a full-time position during the summer months (July 13 to August 14). As such, the successful candidate is required to live on site during this time period. During the spring and fall months, this position may have the opportunity to be employed on a casual part-time basis, with work hours dependent upon staffing needs.
