Organic veggie farming

Farm: Cookstown Greens
Location: Thornton, near Barrie & Newmarket, Simcoe County, Ontario

Seasonal employment, full-time hours

• $17.95 / 40 hours per week
• early mornings and weekends
• potential start date: April 1, 2027 thru to December 15, 2027

No education is necessary; however 1 - 2 years of relative work experience is ideal

Cookstown Greens is an organic vegetable farm, in the rural Thornton area. 20 minutes south from Barrie.

Types of vegetables: microgreens, asparagus, seasonal: leafy greens, seasonal: tomatoes, root storage vegetables (beets, carrots, onions, garlic, potatoes, parsnips)

Farm tasks include: grading and packing vegetables for wholesale and market, microgreen harvesting and greenhouse cleaning, hand harvesting vegetables, weeding crops in the fields

Work conditions and physical capabiliities: ability to work independently, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, standing for extended perions of time, bending and kneeling, must be able to lift 50lbs

Indiviual must be dependable, reliable, team player
