Position: Field Program Manager
Organization: Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council
Location: Sea to Sky region, BC

The Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council (SSISC) is a non-profit organization and registered charity that works to minimize the threat of invasive species in the Sea to Sky Corridor.

This includes inventory, control and monitoring programs for invasive species, as well as education and outreach programs that aim to raise awareness about their impacts. Visit ssisc.ca to learn more.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The SSISC is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working individual with leadership qualities and experience to manage and coordinate its field operations. The Field Program Manager needs to be an effective, decisive leader capable of managing multiple projects and team members. This position offers an excellent opportunity to create relationships with a variety of partners and experts in the region, develop both leadership and technical skills, and receive mentorship from senior staff.

LOCATION

Sea to Sky region, BC

Hybrid work arrangement available: a combination of in-person hours and work from home.

Note: SSISC’s office is located in Whistler, equipment storage is in Squamish, and work sites are throughout the Sea to Sky Region. The successful candidate will have the option to work most office days from home (within the Sea to Sky region).

TERM

Permanent full-time, preferably starting mid-October 2026

WORK HOURS

40 hours/week, with the possibility of slightly reduced hours over the winter (for discussion), worked as a compressed work week (4 days/week)

COMPENSATION

$31/hour plus vacation and extended health benefits
