NBSBC is an incorporated not-for-profit society and an affiliate club of BC Nature. We are a collective of native bee researchers, artists, land managers, conservation practitioners, and enthusiasts working to promote the conservation of native bees in British Columbia.
NBSBC is currently looking for 1-2 passionate volunteers living in British Columbia to join our dedicated Board of Directors as Members at Large. You don’t need prior expertise in native bees — what matters most is your enthusiasm and commitment to supporting the Society’s mission. Onboarding and training will be provided.

Director at Large – Fundraising & Publicity
NBSBC is working to expand its Board’s fund development and marketing functions.

This includes attending a monthly board meeting (1.5 hours) and contributing to committee work that aligns with your interests (3.5+ hours). Board members are expected to take on specific action items each month, balancing the evolving needs of the Society with their individual capacity.

Collaboration & Communication
Reliable internet access is important, as most of our collaboration happens remotely through Zoom, Slack, Google Drive, and email. We value teamwork—board members should be comfortable working independently, engaging in collaborative discussions, and helping guide the Society’s strategic direction.
