The Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley (BIBV) is seeking new board members with a passion for our community and our environment.

The Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley’s mission is to empower community leadership in addressing environmental challenges. We are a thriving charitable organization with multi-partner, award-winning programs devoted to facilitating a healthy, diverse and sustainable natural environment.

Our four program areas (WildSmart; ClimateSmart; Community Hub; Future Leaders) encourage thoughtful decision-making based on local and regional evidence-based information, available to citizens and decision-makers for the long-term benefit of the Bow Valley watershed.

We assist individuals, businesses and other organizations to use resources in a more thoughtful, responsible and sustainable manner. More information about the BIBV can be found here: biosphereinstitute.org

We are seeking new volunteers to join our Board of Directors. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in any of the following areas:

• non-profit governance and management
• financial management
• fund development in the non-profit sector (philanthropy)
• serving in executive positions on boards
