We are looking for an apprentice to help with a timber framing project beginning in October and projected to end by Dec 15, 2026.

We are building a family home in a rural location within the Squamish-Lillooet district, 35 minutes outside of Lillooet.

For at least 3 days/week, you can come and learn timberframing skills, principles, applications, etc. In exchange for your help, we would offer housing in a beautiful, naturally finished cabin on our property complete with hot water, a full kitchen, a bathtub, an outhouse, and wifi.

After mid January, we will be taking a 5 week break. You are welcome to continue living in the area (either in the cabin or in our house) while we are gone, and stay to support the next phase of the project: bales, plastering, etc.

We live in a small community with people who value homesteading, community, nature, music, art, and more. There's a pretty active social scene and a solid mix of young people (aged 30-45) and elders (aged 60-87). Often, there are potlucks, art nights, volleyball, workbees, dance parties, and more.
