Location: Norval/Georgetown, Halton Region, GTA, Ontario (can be virtual but in-person attendance is required from time to time, i.e. events, sometimes host in-person meetings, etc.)

Do you care about nature and a sustainable future? Willow Park Ecology Centre (WPEC) is seeking passionate volunteers to help grow our ecological restoration, education, and community programs at the Credit River & Silver Creek. Since 1998, we’ve transformed a once-degraded site into a thriving, biodiverse natural area, working with the Town of Halton Hills, Credit Valley Conservation, local businesses, grant-makers, and volunteers of all ages.

WPEC is a recognized model for ecological restoration and a hub for hands-on learning, seasonal events, teen mentorship, and adult volunteering. Our programs educate, engage and help people gain the knowledge and skills needed for a greener future, especially in their own communities.

We’re looking for board members or committee volunteers with experience in:

• Finance / Accounting / Administration
• Project, Program, or Governance Management
• Communications, Marketing, or Social Media
• Fundraising, Sponsorship, or Environmental Education

Commitment:

• Attend monthly board meetings (in-person or online)

• 4–8 hours/month for board activities, committees, and in-park events

• Term: up to 4 years; next term starts January 2026. Various positions available
