Title: Donor Development Manager

The Nature Trust of New Brunswick (Nature Trust) is a charitable land trust based in Fredericton that is dedicated to protecting ecologically significant lands across New Brunswick, forever.

We conserve and care for a growing 14,700 acres across 100 nature preserves throughout New Brunswick, and are well ahead in our Conserve (Y)our New Brunswick campaign’s goal of raising $10 million to protect 15,000 acres by 2030. The Nature Trust works to protect our province’s natural spaces through science-based approaches, innovative engagement, and collaborative action with government, landholders, Indigenous partners, communities and others within the private sector. We are grateful for our robust base of supporters including 400+ individual donors and volunteers, and 100+ public and private sector partners.
Role Summary
The Donor Development Manager (DDM) drives the implementation of the Nature Trust’s Fund Development Strategy. The DDM, supervised by the CEO, will work closely with the management/leadership team to align all fundraising initiatives with the Nature Trust’s mission, vision and strategic plan. This role is results driven, relying on data to inform tactics and activities. This team member leads the Nature Trust’s fund development with confidence, social aptitude and brings a creative and innovative approach to the organization’s charitable goals.

The Nature Trust promotes a collaborative work environment, combining efforts across departments. The DDM, supported by the management team, will build on our trusted reputation in land conservation and stewardship, effective volunteer engagement and strong communication channels to cultivate new partnerships, diversify our donor base, and grow philanthropic funding to strengthen the Nature Trust’s impact on nature now and into the future.

It also includes visits to donors, potential funders, partners, and nature preserves periodically as required for relationship building throughout the year. The DDM must be willing to travel and work flexible hours at times, including overnight trips when necessary.
