Position: Door Canvassers and Management
Organization: Wilderness Committee
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Excited about defending wilderness, wildlife and nature in Manitoba?

The Wilderness Committee is currently accepting applications to join our Door Canvass team.

Our canvass works in residential neighbourhoods to raise awareness of our campaigns and fundraise to support this work. There is an opportunity for additional office management work for candidates displaying appropriate skill sets.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your communication skills and become confident in community engagement.

• Hours are approximately 3:15pm to 9:15pm weekdays, but flexible
• Weekend shifts are also available
• Full-time and part-time

Pay Structure: Performance based. $80 base pay per shift + generous performance bonus. Average pay on team is $150+/shift

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  Full training is provided.

Qualifications:

• An excellent communicator and people person with strong relationship-building skills
• Passionate about wildlife and wild places in Canada
• Outgoing, positive, dedicated
• Well organized with an eye for detail
• Willing to participate in ongoing education and skill-building

Assets:

• Skilled in administrative and financial tasks such as tracking, reporting and balancing accounts
• Experience with canvass map organization and development
• A valid Class 5 driver’s licence
