Positions: Outdoor Instructor 1 & 2

This posting is for two positions: Outdoor Instructor I and Outdoor Instructor II
We are seeking up to 7 Outdoor Instructors.

We are hiring passionate team members for Outdoor Instructor I and Outdoor Instructor II positions based at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre, where our team creates meaningful outdoor experiences for schools, children and community groups. Activities may include environmental programs, canoeing, fire and shelter programs, orienteering, day camp programming, winter programs such as xc skiing, snowshoeing, and more!
The Outdoor Instructor I position is a great entry level role for anyone beginning a career in recreation or environmental education. In this position, you’ll deliver engaging outdoor programs and camps while building skills in leadership, instruction, and working with diverse groups. You’ll take part in training that grows your knowledge, develops your outdoor abilities, and helps contribute to a safe and positive experience for all participants.
The Outdoor Instructor II position is a leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high quality outdoor recreation and environmental education programs, camps and events. This role includes mentoring staff, supporting program design, as well as ensuring a safe environment for participants.
