Position: Nature Intern
Type: age 30 & under / summer
Organization: Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre
Location: Ottawa/Nepean, near 417/ Moodie/ Crystal Bay. Work is on-site. Access to a vehicle is helpful as public transit is not easily accessible.
The Ottawa-Carleton Wildlife Centre has been educating people about wildlife and helping to foster an appreciation of the natural world for over 35 years.
Tasks & Responsibilities

Successful applicants will assist with updating and creating content for the Centre's website; assist with the research and development of education and outreach materials; assist with tasks such as data entry and research; and the day-to-day operations of a small organization such as light cleaning.
The Centre’s Programs are intended to connect people to nature and to educate them about urban wildlife. Topics include accessing nature near them, enjoying the diversity of species we share our spaces with; providing the tools to assist in reducing conflict with wildlife and valuing and preserving habitat in their neighbourhoods. The goal is to educate about local natural environment and ways to enjoy and protect it.
