RAINscapeTO is an eco-landscaping social enterprise that designs, implements and maintains beautiful and earth friendly gardens.
We offer the design and installation of sustainable gardens such as pollinator and edible gardens, rain gardens and bioswales. We also provide services to support local food production and the use of heritage seeds and native plants as vital additions to a sustainable and healthy urban landscape. We aim to establish a social enterprise that provides meaningful, and culturally sensitive employment and training for emerging urban indigenous peoples.
JOB PURPOSE
As part of the Management Team, the Community Coordinator will support partnership development, project communications and client relationships. The Community Coordinator also acts as a resource for clients and partners, assisting with consultations, community events and presentations. The Community Coordinator must have some knowledge about horticultural practices, be able to deliver excellent customer service, have leadership and interpersonal skills and have experience in partnership development and strategic communications. The Community Coordinator will support the hands-on delivery of landscaping services when needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibility of this position is to support management with administrative, partnership and communication activities. Some of these tasks include:
