Hiring: Green Roof Maintenance Crew

At the Architek Group of Companies we maintain and build green roofs and green walls to make buildings greener that create habitats for pollinators, beneficial insects, and birds and save energy while keeping our cities cool.

We are looking to hire for our Green Roof Maintenance Crew for seasonal, part-time work. This person will be responsible for working on Architek maintenance sites to help build and fulfill our green roof and green wall maintenance projects. Work will be 20 - 30 hours per week from April - October.

We are seeking someone who:

• Has experience working in gardening or landscaping.
• Has a green thumb or working towards it. Green roof landscapes have a variety of different plants.
• Is open to working outdoors, doing physical work during Spring and Summer months.
• Is comfortable working with a variety of tools such as weeding tools and light power tools.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems is an asset.
• Class 5 Driver's License and previous care of company vehicles is also an asset.
• Has an eye for safe working environments and is open to training.
• Is comfortable working at heights, previous Fall Protection training is an asset.
• Lives near Vancouver, work will be on job sites in and around Vancouver

Benefits

Starting wage $23-26, based on experience. Seasonal, part-time work from April - October.

Head office is based in Vancouver, Mt Pleasant.

Work sites located all over Lower Mainland, with some travel possible.
