Eat Pure Mountain Market is a community-focused organic grocery store and café in Golden, BC, dedicated to providing high-quality, organic, and locally sourced food. We believe food is medicine, and we’re committed to supporting the health of our customers, our community, and the planet.

Our small café is a key part of the store, offering organic coffee, smoothies, elixirs, gluten-free baked goods, and a small, nourishing lunch menu.

We are looking for a Café Manager to lead the café team, maintain high standards, and ensure smooth, profitable daily operations.

The Role

The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of café operations, including food preparation, service, food costing & profitability, inventory, and team leadership.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in running a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. You will lead by example, support your team, and ensure consistency in both product quality and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations (coffee, smoothies, food prep, service)
• Lead, train, and support café staff
• Manage scheduling and labour to meet targets
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and food costing
• Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and organization
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations
• Minimize waste and manage prep efficiently
• Support menu execution and contribute to product development
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in a café, kitchen, or food service environment
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of food prep, kitchen organization, and workflow
• Experience with inventory management and food costing
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

Bonus if you have:

• Barista experience
• Experience with gluten-free or health-focused food
• Passion for organic, local, and sustainable food
