Title: Lead Farm Hand
Type: Full time or part time
Farm: Quality Harvests / Wild West Herb Co.

Location: Smithers, BC
Housing: We have rustic on-site accommodation available.

Dates: April to October, 2024
Wage: Competitive based on experience

Quality Harvests and Wild West Herb Co. are a joint vegetable and herb farm. We are looking to add one or two members to our team as we transition our farm businesses to new land and build it from the ground up.

YOU ARE:

• Interested in providing healthy food to local communities.
• Excited about working with nature and farming with ecological practices.
• Comfortable with physical work and repetitive tasks.
• A creative thinker and problem-solver.
• Able to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.

YOUR JOB COULD INVOLVE:

• Field work: bed preparation, seeding, transplanting, irrigating, weeding, harvesting.
• Processing: harvesting, washing, packing, drying, curing.
• Sales and Marketing: deliveries, farmers markets.
• Chickens: feeding, egg collection, egg washing, packing.

We are located 25 minutes west of the town of Smithers. We have rustic on-site accommodation available. All applicants and inquiries are invited.
