Position: Agriculture and Environment Advisor
Type: international development position with living allowance, return flight, training, more (see below)

Crossroads International is an international development organization that is reducing poverty and increasing women’s rights around the world. Working with local partners in 28 projects, in eight countries and supported by hundreds of volunteers each year, Crossroads leverages expertise and resources, North and South, required to help people overcome poverty and assert their human rights.

Duration: 4 – 18 months


Main responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities and assist in training technicians and producers on different agricultural techniques;
  • Conduct workshops, focus groups and individual interviews to analyze the experience of different actors;
  • Assess the social and economic feasibility of applying new and/ or different technologies or techniques (productivity, social impacts, environmental impact, efficiency and effectiveness).


  • Training in agronomy, monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, project management, organizational development, or other relevant fields;
  • Knowledge and experience in agriculture;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams as well as autonomously;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Previous experience volunteering and/or working in international development projects considered an asset
  • Fluency in Spanish and French considered an asset
  • Ability, competency and flexibility to work in rural and urban areas within a new professional and cultural setting.
