VOLUNTEER POSITION

Position: Part Time Garden Manager
Organization: Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network
Location: Sharon/East Gwillimbury, near Newmarket, Ontario

Do you love gardening and being a part of a community? Want to be a part of an international, United Nations accredited organization? Join our growing canadian team and make a difference locally in your community in our part time garden manager position.

Time commitment: 5 Hours a week

Location: Sharon Hope United Church Lawn (18648 Leslie St, Sharon, ON L0G 1V0)

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain garden and manage crops
  2. Assist with the implementation of local garden workshops

Personal Suitability:

  1. Personally connects with people
  2. Some knowledge of garden maintenance-- or a willingness to learn!
  3. Physically able to lift ~30lbs and use some garden tools (don't worry we can teach you how use the tools!)
  4. Strong verbal communication skills

Educational Requirements:

  1. In or graduated from Secondary School
