Position: Dog Handler/Yard Helper
Type: volunteer with accom + weekly food allowance (see below)
Organization: Muktuk Adventures
Location: Ibex Valley, outside of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, northern Canada

We are looking for a hard-working and reliable dog handler/yard helper.

We are located just 25 minutes outside of Whitehorse and operate an adventure company that offers dog sledding tours in the winter, and educational tours and canoeing in the summer.

Our dogs do not "work" in the summer but nevertheless they still need lots of attention. If you love dogs and are not afraid of hard work and long days this will be your summer of a lifetime.

Your tasks include but are not limited to:

  • feeding dogs (age 1 year to 15 years old)
  • administer medication to dogs
  • brush dogs
  • walk dogs off-leash and on-leash to river and back
  • maintain their housing

You will share an "off the grid" cabin with other volunteers. In addition you will receive a weekly allowance for food.

This opportunity will start as soon as May 15th.
