Position: Web Assistant
Organization: Peel Community Climate Council
Location: Peel Region or anywhere Ontario (virtual)

Who we are:

The Community Climate Council is a youth-founded, non-partisan grassroots organization that focuses on climate literacy and advocacy in Peel Region, Ontario. To learn more about our council members and our current campaigns, please visit


  • Create graphics and text for the Community Climate Council’s website.
  • Design and prepare assets for the website and ensure compliance with the Community
  • Climate Council’s standards.
  • Maintain and modify the website as needed.
  • Oversee general site needs and assist in associate marketing services.
  • Assist in formatting and uploading various media files on the Community Climate
  • Council’s website.
  • Assist website technicians in maintaining site.


  • Experience with Wix & Squarespace is required.
  • Basic coding skills for HTML and CSS is helpful to have.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator is an asset.
  • Understanding of information hierarchy is an asset.
  • You are accountable and reliable to complete tasks on time.
  • Detail oriented, adaptable, organized, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple
  • projects and tasks successfully.
  • Familiarity using Slack is an asset, but not required.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about climate action preferred.
