Volunteer Webmaster needed!
The Alberta Chapter of The Wildlife Society (ACTWS) is looking for an innovative and creative person to join our team of dedicated volunteers. As a webmaster, you will work closely with the Executive Director to help shape the online presence and "face" of our organization.
This engaging position is a great way to build your resume while supporting the ACTWS in meeting its mission to inspire and empower wildlife professionals to engage in science-based management and conservation of wild animals and their habitats.
We are an organization comprised of over 400 members across Alberta who are wildlife scientists, managers, consultants, entreprenuers, academics and students. We foster a culture among wildlife professionals that promotes science-based management. The ACTWS functions on the principle that reliable science is essential for sound policy decision making in natural resource management. We serve our members and community by speaking out in support of credible science in the management and conservation of wildlife in Alberta and Canada.
Working closely with the Executive Director, the webmaster is responsible for keeping our website current and functioning smoothly. This volunteer position is, on average, a 5-10 hour a month commitment. Our current webmasters will work with the successful candidate for several months to ease the transition.
If you have the following skills and experience, then this position could be perfect for you!
