Role: Bat Conservation Volunteer
Type: volunteer / program fee for accom, meals, training, more (see below)
Location: Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve, Malawi, Africa
This project provides the opportunity to work in a remote unspoilt African wilderness in Northern Malawi. Volunteering at the research camp is like being on permanent safari, with regular visits to camp by elephants, hippos, warthogs and monkey.
Volunteers undertake a range of biodiversity surveying and monitoring activities, as well as community outreach, human-bat conflict and awareness activities. The project aims to give everyone a fun and rewarding experience.
Volunteer 4 Africa members receive a 15% discount on standard fees and the discounted rates start at £723 for 2 weeks (normally £850). The fee includes: airport transfers; accommodation; 3 meals per day; all project related travel; free local sim card upon arrival; induction and research training pack; comprehensive safety training upon arrival; and a donation to the project.
Please visit the Volunteer 4 Africa website for further information and application instructions.
