Position: Feast of Fields Volunteer Coordinators

Are you a ‘foodie'? Passionate about local food? Want to give back to your local food economy? Join the dynamic volunteer planning team at FarmFolk CityFolk’s 2017 Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields!

FarmFolk CityFolk is a charitable not-for-profit organization with a mission help build a local more sustainable food system in British Columbia. Feast of Fields is FarmFolk CityFolk's annual local food celebration and fundraiser, highlighting the contribution local chefs and restaurants; farmers, ranchers and fishers; food artisans, vintners, brewers and distillers, make to our local food economy.

Volunteers on the planning committee will help with the planning and logistics leading up to the Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields on Sunday, September 10. Volunteers will join an established volunteer network and will have the opportunity to connect with many of the most recognized food and beverage names in the province. On the day of the event, volunteers will assist with the day-of activities while also taking part in the Feast and enjoying the delicious creations from 40+ local chefs, breweries and wineries!

The following volunteer Coordinator positions are available:


  • Works closely with the event coordinator on all items related to the event location. Duties include visiting the host farm, signage creation, site parking logistics, assist with site set-up and tear down, and post-event reports. Additional duties as required.


  • Manages the supplier relationships, including obtaining sponsorship logos, soliciting donor items, booking and overseeing the delivery and function of all required supplies / rentals / first aid, and post-event reports. Additional duties as required.


  • Oversees the recruitment, scheduling, training and communication with 30-40 volunteers for event set-up and event execution. Additional duties as required.


  • Coordinators must be available to assist with the pre-event set up (Saturday, September 9) and on the event day (Sunday, September 10)
  • Weekly commitment: approx. 1-2 hours per week from June - September + half days on event weekend
