Wanted: Food forest volunteers
Organization: Black Creek Community Farm
Location: Jane and Steele, Toronto / North York, Ontario

Come volunteer in our Food Forest*, every Monday, from 12pm to 4:30pm, for the month of November.

Fall is already here, and now it is time to prepare our perenial plants for the long and cold winter. We will continue to implement and maintain the trails, remove invasive species and start to mulch our trees.

Come help us out on this mission and become a steward of this promising space.

*Our food forest is an area of the site where we have planted numerous perennial and fruiting plants. In its early development it requires significant effort to ensure that the perennial plants are not overtaken by invasive species and other weeds. But over time the work should continually decrease as the intentional plants become more established and resistant to weed pressure.
