Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council (SWRC) is looking for volunteers to promote recycling and waste diversion opportunities in Saskatoon. We are searching for engaged community members to become Recycling Coaches. These superstars will inform their fellow citizens on the steps and actions that everyone can do to reduce the amount of garbage they are sending to the landfill.
You will learn about:
After your training session you will be qualified to work with the Rolling Education Unit. This is a mobile teaching display that has interactive games and a wealth of informative materials. Volunteer shifts, free admission included, will be no more than 3 hours at a variety of public events; mostly Mar-Apr & Sep-Nov. A criminal record check with vulnerable sector will be required (at no cost to you).
