Position: Land Caretakers for Eagle Condor Prophecy Retreat
Type: volunteer work-stay with staple foods, more (see below)
Organization: Warmsprings Homestead
Location: Atlin, northern British Columbia / south of Whitehorse YT
We are looking for volunteers to stay at our remote wilderness retreat to help with gardening, cooking, firewood, and other homestead chores. We are looking specifically for volunteers who are interested in indigneous healing and reconciliation, the Eagle Condor Prophecy, and shamanic healing practices and ceremonies. We require mature, highly motivated volunteers who can work efficiently with little direction. Requirements are deep respect for indigenous practices, wilderness experience, being skilled at chopping firewood and making fires, cooking on a woodstove, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and desire to work as a team. Knowledge and experience in the healing arts, indigneous culture, survival skills or wilderness guiding are appreciated.
We are accepting applicants between May 1 – August 30 2018, for a minimum of a 60 day stay. We offer staple foods, tenting sites, and opportunities to learn about healing ceremonies on the land. There is no wifi, cell phone service, power, electricity, running water, or telephone on the property. Services are available in the town of Atlin, 26 km away. There is a sauna for bathing and an outdoor communal cookshack.
