My name is Brianna and I operate Puddle Produce Farm which is located on a 70 acre property on the Fraser River approx. 40kms north of Williams Lake, BC, in a region known as Soda Creek. Rolling hills and pastures, primarily cattle country, but Puddle Produce grows strictly vegetables and microgreens for local markets on a 1/2 acre plot. I also have a dog, cat, and chickens.
There is a house with an enclosed suite that is open to a farm hand. As a volunteer, this suite would be available free of charge in exchange for 6hrs/day of work on the farm and minding the property while the owner/operator is away periodically for off-farm work. This also includes a stipend of $300/mth for the extra hours, but does not include groceries.
Experience is not required, but considered an asset. The owner would also expect a minimum stay of at least 4 weeks, 8 or more is ideal. I operate this farm by myself so the extra help is greatly appreciated.
Let me know if you have any questions at all!
