Position: Bird Monitor Volunteer Team Leader
Organization: Stanley Park Ecology Society
Location: Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC

Stanley Park Ecology Society’s monthly Bird Counts engage people in nature by using birds as a gateway to local biodiversity. We seek to increase awareness of birds and their environment and collect baseline data for Stanley Park while sharing bird watching and bird ID skills with the public. Volunteers of all birding skill levels are welcome to join, with more experienced volunteers helping to train beginners.

The Bird Monitor Volunteer Team Leader helps to prepare for each monthly bird count by sending emails to volunteers before and after the count, collating data, writing a monthly report and leading the survey. We are looking for a passionate volunteer to continue the legacy left by our long term Bird Monitor Volunteer Team Leader.
