Join our team of Panda Ambassador Volunteers, educating and inspiring visitors and promoting Giant Panda conservation. Panda Ambassadors interact and inspire Zoo visitors with fun activities at our Giant Panda Interpretive Centre. They also provide information and directions at our wayfinding stations. This opportunity is for people aged 16 and over.
Minimum commitment for this program is 50 volunteer hours in a 6-month term (October 1 to March 31). A mandatory two-day training session is provided.
Training is provided.
No contact with our plants or animals.
Zoo Volunteers receive free admission for themselves and a guest as well as free Zoomobile rides and a discount at the Zoo shop.
Successful applicants for this and all Zoo Volunteer opportunities are required to obtain a satisfactory Police Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector search at their own expense before carrying out any Volunteer duties.
Toronto Zoo is accessible and welcomes Volunteers of all physical abilities. Volunteers must be able to move themselves throughout the Zoo’s large site.
