VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Positions: Food Rescue Lead, Marketing Coordinator, Web Designer, Fundraising Coordinator, Social Media Analyst, Cook
Organization: 5n2 Kitchens
Location: Scarborough/Toronto/GTA, Ontario

OVERVIEW

We at 5n2 Kitchens, are a wide network of directors, volunteers, community leaders, businesses, and donors coming together to fight hunger across Toronto. Our vision is to create an empowered, educated and connected community with a meal available for all who lack the access. Whether you’re a volunteer, sponsor, donor, or an individual with no access to healthy meals, there is always room at our table.

5n2 Kitchens incorporates sustainability in its practices through the use of food rescue initiatives, recycling programs, and educational workshops tailored towards healthy eating. Currently serving over 1200 meals a week, and 70,000+ meals to date, 5n2 is on a mission to reduce food insecurity and increase food sustainability across the GTA.

Food rescue provides the opportunity to recycle perishable commodities that have not been sold to consumers from the hands of the retailer during the day of production. A team of volunteers use these ingredients to cook a healthy vegetarian meal at a community kitchen. Anyone is welcome to join in the cooking and/or eating.
