Position: Volunteer - 2019 Canada International Children's Art Festival

Become a Volunteer at 2019 Canada International Children's Art Festival!

If you enjoy working with children, come share in the excitement of the Canada International Children’s Art Festival as a volunteer.

Each year the festival has a creative theme. The theme for this year is “Waterside”. Through this activity, children and youth are encouraged to help protecting our world and save the environment.

Volunteer Team Leaders

Volunteer Team Leaders manage groups of volunteers and act as the main contact point between sites and venue staff as well as volunteers and the volunteer department. Team Leaders are responsible for assigning tasks to volunteers, rotating their team through breaks and are experts at creating a fun and focused atmosphere.


  • Experienced festival volunteer
  • Friendly and personable

  • Attend an interview
  • Attend an orientation session
  • Attend a training session
  • Communicate clearly with volunteers and staff
  • Plan your shift accordingly
  • Confidence to troubleshoot on site.
  • Approximately 40 hours minimum time commitment between May to end of Aug

Marketing Volunteers

Marketing Volunteers help with all things marketing. In this role you will be assisting our marketing team with setting up events, gathering digital content, surveying and handing out promotional material to audiences.


  • Outgoing and possess great communication skills
  • Knowledge of social media marketing
  • Detail oriented


  • Attend an interview and training session
  • Be responsible with confidential information
  • Please note you may be asked to stay after hours

Festival Administrative Volunteers

Festival Administrative Volunteers help with “behind the scenes” tasks at CICAF Volunteer Centre. They use their excellent administrative and communication skills to assist the Volunteer Department with general office work such as scheduling, on-shift updates, and data entry.?


  • Love admin work!
  • Detail oriented
  • Very organized
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willing to learn the backend of our volunteer database


  • Be able to independently work on the computer or perform administrative tasks
  • Provide friendly and helpful support at the Volunteer Hub

All volunteers must provide a Police Record Check
