Position: Public Life Study Volunteer – ByWard Market

8 80 Cities is conducting public life studies in the ByWard Market this summer. Public life studies provide a snapshot of the daily patterns of usage and visitors in an area and will inform the ByWard Market Public Realm Plan. We are looking for friendly volunteers to help collect “people data” to better understand how residents and visitors get around and spend time in the ByWard Market.
The studies will take place on Thursday, July 11 and Saturday, July 13, 2019. Each volunteer shift is two hours, plus a 30-minute training prior to the beginning of the shift. No previous experience is necessary.

About the ByWard Market Public Realm Plan
The ByWard Market is one of the most well-known destinations in Ottawa. Because of its economic and cultural contributions, the City of Ottawa plans to ensure that the Market remains a popular and successful destination in the future.
