Suitable for: Those interested in gaining experience in outdoor nature education, working with children, and the environment.
Requirements: Enthusiasm, organization, and a passion for nature. Experience working with and teaching children an asset. Criminal record check required.
Duties: Supervising/monitoring children, aiding and participating in all activities, games, and arts and crafts, Preparing for camp activities – setting up equipment, preparing crafts, etc. Leading group games or activities.
Benefits: Get your volunteer hours and experience in a fun and engaging way. You will gain excellent experience in working with youth in a teaching environment, environmental education and a chance to be outdoors this summer. Volunteers will learn about our local coastal environment and develop their skills in leadership, teaching and the environment. All regular volunteers will be given a reference upon completion of at least 30 hours of volunteering.
