Positions: Youth in Action - Credit to New Credit program

Are you looking to be part of a network with motivated youth? Are you interested in being a leader for environmental change? Could you commit a few hours a week to lead your own action-change project? What do you think of 10 free workshops that you could add to your resume?

Ecosource’s Youth in Action – Credit to New Credit project, is a collaboration between Ecosource and the Mississauga of the Credit First Nation Biodiversity Council. This project builds on the relationships formed through the Travelling the Credit Program that took place in 2017. Youth in Action – Credit to New Credit brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth (15-30 years old) for a workshop series on topics related to leadership, stewardship and relationship.

Over a period of seven months, participants will attend 10 workshops and be supported to design and lead environmental service projects that will have a positive impact in their communities. Each participant will gain a minimum of 120 valuable hours of volunteer service and experiential learning through both workshops and service, participants will develop leadership skills and learn to foster respectful relationships with themselves, the land, each other and their communities.
