VOLUNTEER POSITION

Be a part of FarmFolk CityFolk's largest annual fundraiser by joining our team in this lead role for our Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields event.

Position: Silent Auction Coordinator
Event: Feast of Fields - Sunday, September 8th, 2019 at Rabbit River Farms in Richmond, hosted by FarmFolk CityFolk
Location: Metro Vancouver, British Columbia

Feast of Fields 2019 — BC’s largest local food and beverage festival. Celebrating 25 years, 58 Feasts, 40 farms and 150 of your favourite local producers each year.

Role Duties:

  • Contact potential donors (a list will be supplied) and coordinate delivery/receipt of all donations

  • Prepare gift certificates for display

  • Print auction list and prepare bid sheets etc.

  • Plan auction set up and payment processing

  • Ensure all planning documents are up-to-date throughout planning
  • Set up Silent Auction tent and manage auction volunteers (event day)

  • Coordinate payment processing/item retrieval (event day)

  • Must be available Sat. Sept. 7th for setup and Sun. Sept. 8th

  • Approx. 40 hours total

Core Competencies:

  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Responsive
  • Experience with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership skills

Reports to Event Coordinator. An honorarium will be offered.
