Position: Regenerative Food Security Program Coordinator

Regenerative Food Security Program Coordinator
Since June of 2018, we have served over 10,000 meals to children, hosted recipe sharing days intended to inspire culinary creativity, to create nutritious, cost-efficient and economically regenerative farm-to-table foods. We've provided education in nutrition and small business economic skills. We've also secured a community Giving Garden, hosted 6 children's art and garden literacy days in which the children are inspired to be creative while learning about various locally grown foods and organic horticulture techniques. Your role would be to create a manage such programming under the supervision of the program leader.
Join us to help keep this program going.
Beginning as soon as possible until August 31, 2021 with the potential to extend.
Requirements:
Helpful Skills, Experience and/or Education:
Approximately 30/week.
Your time will be spent with program coordination and management. The engages the community and serves between 60 - 300 meals each week depending on budget and demand. The program also sponsors educational events to empower Ometepe residents to create more affordable, nutritious meals with locally sourced foods. Duties include small event organization, collaborating with locals in the community Giving Garden, sourcing locally has grown produce with local farmers and involving local mothers to support meals services for the children as well as bookkeeping and budget management and social media posts to support crowdfunding efforts.
We aim for a field of mutual support. We do our best to support you so that you can support us and the community. You are invited to live alone or with a partner in the Ometepe Development Fund house in a private room with kitchen access during your stay.
