INTERNATIONAL PLACEMENTS

Positions: Resource Mobilisation Advisor
Type: international development positions with living allowance, return flight, training, more (see below)
Organization: Crossroads International
Locations: Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Togo, Senegal, Swaziland, Tanzania and Ghana
Duration: 4 – 18 months

Context: Crossroad International is an international development organization that is reducing poverty and increasing women’s rights around the world. We work with local partners in eight countries and are supported by hundreds of volunteers each year.

Description:

Main responsibilities

  • Develop a long term and sustainable resource mobilization strategy;
  • Develop fundraising initiatives and strategies to support the program of the organization;
  • Create/update a list of local and multinational organizations, grant making foundations and corporate institutions;
  • Develop winning grants proposals to support the programs of the local partner;
  • Capacitate local staff members in effective traditional and virtual methods of resource mobilization through trainings and sharing the developed tools.

Requirements

  • University degree in resource mobilization, business development, economics, finance, or other related fields;
  • Experience related to resource development, grant writing, fundraising, microcredit, and donor relations;
  • Strong analytical and research skills;
  • Ability and willingness to work in rural areas and new cultural and professional settings.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
  • Willing to conduct fundraising and public engagement activities before, during and after the placement;
  • Must be in a good physical and mental health.
