The Wild Bird Care Centre is a registered charitable organization. We run completely on public donations and receive no government funding. The Centre takes in over 3,000 birds annually. All of the birds are brought to us by the caring public who find them. We’re open 365 days a year. We’re able to achieve this feat thanks to our wonderful volunteers, our tremendous supporters and our hardworking staff.
Providing reliable and accurate information over the phone to the thousands of callers needing help. We take pride providing advice to our caring community. As a greeter your job would not only be to answer the phone but to be a friendly face greeting visitors and people with injured, orphaned wild birds.
We ask that you dedicate 4 hours a week, preferably on the same day, starting at 10am-2pm or noon-4pm.
The Greeter is responsible to the Volunteer Coordinator for all matters. Any questions can be directed to:
If you are interested in volunteering your time at the Centre, please fill out the Volunteer Application form by clicking “Volunteer Now” or visit us at the Centre. If a volunteer position becomes available and your application is selected you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator.
