To support the Greater Toronto Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council (GTC-CaGBC) staff in delivering its programs and initiatives, the Outreach Intern will be assisting with (but not limited to) the following projects:
Marketing and Website Maintenance
The Outreach Intern will support staff in coordinating outreach and communications to its growing membership and larger network of over 5,000 green building enthusiasts through email campaigns, social media, monthly newsletters and website postings.
The Outreach Intern will grow Chapter resources by working on special Chapter initiatives. This includes conducting and summarizing green building research such as sourcing like-minded partner organizations and social media contacts, categorizing and organizing green building magazine articles, etc. They will also support the Chapter by updating and maintaining our ever-growing Green Building Map while expanding the green jobs, resources, and case studies sections of our website. The selected candidate is expected to support with the delivery of Chapter events and education sessions, occasionally falling outside working hours and throughout various locations across the City of Toronto. Finally, s/he will be tasked with various logistical and administrative tasks and program and education activities as needed/required.

This position reports to GTC-CaGBC staff and is an unpaid position, held at the GTC-CaGBC office in downtown Toronto. The term will be 2 days a week, 9am to 5pm for three months or 1 day per week for six months, with the possibility for extension. The role requires the selected candidate to support with the delivery of Greater Toronto Chapter events which occasionally fall outside regular work hours.
