VOLUNTEER POSITION

Title: Project Manager - Policy Development
Organization: Green Party of Ontario
Location:
Toronto or anywhere in Ontario

We are looking for self-motivated volunteers to help with research and writing in the area of party policy and communications development. With an election on the horizon next year, our party has a growing need for volunteers to contribute to policy research, briefing notes, and voter correspondence.

Responsibilities and projects:

  • Research and compile information to be used for briefing notes on a range of key policy issues.

  • Respond to policy inquiries and questionnaires.

  • Work with staff on the organization and completion of a major party policy document.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong research skills; experience analyzing and monitoring public policy issues

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to effectively communicate goals, timelines, and issues as they arise

  • Interest in provincial politics and knowledge of current issues

Our head office is located in Toronto, but we are happy to work with remote volunteers across the province.
