The p.i.n.e. project’s (http://www.pineproject.org) mission is to build healthy communities deeply connected to the natural environment. To achieve this we deliver programs focused on building relationships between self, others, and the environment. Using music, drama, storytelling, naturalist studies, stewardship, survival skills, outdoor adventures, intergenerational learning, games, and play we weave a “culture of nature connection”. This empowers our mantra: be more, need less.
The p.i.n.e. project is inviting individuals to submit an expression of interest to join the organization's Board of Directors. In particular, we are seeking prospective board members that have professional experience relating to the following areas:
finance and accounting
The central objectives of this position are to:
ensure the p.i.n.e. project continues to embody its mission, vision and values
guide organizational development and strategic direction
be responsible for making decisions in the best interests of the organization
be accountable for the monitoring and oversight of performance standards and other measures
Our board members embody respect, gratitude, awareness, lifelong learning, and resilience, in alignment with p.i.n.e.’s core values.
Meetings take place every other month and are conducted in-person in Toronto. In addition, board members are also encouraged to contribute to project-based committees and attend p.i.n.e.-sponsored events. Board members must be over 18 years old and in good financial standing.
