GreenPAC is a new non-partisan non-profit working to elect environmental leaders. To do this we follow a three step process:
1) Identify - Our team consults with the public, parties, candidates, and local groups to identify environmental champions. We look at things like candidates' volunteer and work experience in the environmental sector, political experience, environmental awards, environmental committees that they’ve sat on, and more. We also look at winnability - a candidate is considered winnable if their party has lost by less than 10% of the votes in the past three elections.
2) Endorse - Our independent, non-partisan Expert Panel endorses winnable candidates that have a long, strong history of environmental leadership in every major party (we're non-partisan). We only endorse a handful of winnable candidates to make sure we have the most impact for our champions. The reason we endorse in every major party is to make the environmental movement more inclusive and give all citizens the chance to support an environmental champion in their preferred party.
3) Elect - We drive individuals donations of time and money to get our endorsed candidates elected. The goal is to elect environmental champions that will work across party lines to introduce and support progressive environmental legislation.

We're looking for a motivated self-starter to spearhead the project (with support from our team) or help out where needed with online French content. Applicants must have French as a first language with at least a basic proficiency in English. If you have any questions or would like to get started, please email Kate at k.belmore greenpac.ca* . We'd love to have you on the team!
