Join the HUB Cycling Team!
HUB Cycling is a charitable non-profit whose aim is to get more people riding bikes more often through education, action and events. With over 30,000 direct contacts, 2,000 members and tens of thousands of people reached through events each year, HUB Cycling is leading the way in making cycling an attractive choice for everyone.
HUB Cycling's second-annual Bike to Shop Days is a weekend long event happening from July 21st to 23rd. We hope to encourage people to ride to and shop at their favourite businesses. The event will include activation sites near popular shopping areas where people on bikes can stop for free snacks, prizes, discounts, giveaways, bike repairs and tips for how to carry shopping items by bike. The aim of the event is to celebrate cycling for transportation in a fun and unique way, educate people about how to their shopping items by bike, and get more people on bikes in Metro Vancouver.
If you are looking to gain event experience, are interested in getting involved in the biking community in Vancouver and want to join an incredible group of volunteers and friends we'd love for you to join the HUB Cycling team! HUB is currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with outreach and event support leading up to as well as on the weekend of the event. We need help with poster delivery, soliciting donations, outreach, marketing and promotion. On the weekend of the event we will need help with the coordination and set up of our outdoor stations.
HUB volunteers are vital to the success of Bike to Shop Days. Did we mention that you will meet awesome people and be invited to our volunteer appreciation party? We hope you can join us!
