Position: Course Interns

Contaminated Site Management Course - Theory, Practice & Outdoor Demonstrations - June 4-8, 2018 - Toronto, Canada

GOwen Environmental is interested in highly qualified interns to support this course and other professional development programs. Position responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and administrative support before and during the course.
  • Support during the outdoor demonstration day.
  • Support for set-up and take down of the nightly computer workshops.
  • Coordination or attendance and support for social functions during the event.
  • Database management.

Opportunities to take part in environmental project management meetings with Canadian, American and foreign government officials and executives in the environmental industry.

The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate of a degree or diploma in a college/university program or be an unemployed environmental professional

  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and professionally
  • An interest in international trade and/or environment.
  • Familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the World Wide Web. Additional computer/software experience, web design and photo processing skills are valuable but not required.

Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week for one month prior to the course, and full days during the period of June 4-8, 2018. These positions are unpaid. Selected candidates may be mentored for six months after their internship.
